Who is Henk Kuijpers?

Henk Kuijpers is a Dutch former professional road bicycle racer. He was born on 14th June 1965, in Oisterwijk, Netherlands. He is best known for winning the 1988 Tour de France. Kuijpers was a professional rider from 1985 to 1998.

Kuijpers began his professional cycling career with the Panasonic team in 1985. He rode for the team for two seasons before moving to the Superconfex team in 1987. In 1988, he joined the TVM team, where he remained for the rest of his career.

Kuijpers's career was highlighted by his victory in the 1988 Tour de France. He became the first Dutch rider to win the Tour de France since Jan Janssen in 1968.
