FAA Investigating Incident Involving Delta, Air Canada Planes
Two planes collided at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Monday, causing damage to both aircraft but no injuries, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. EST when a Delta Air Lines jetliner clipped the wing of an Air Canada plane that was parked at the gate.
No Injuries Reported
Both planes were unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. The Delta jetliner was scheduled to depart for Baltimore, while the Air Canada plane was scheduled to depart for Toronto.
FAA Investigating
The FAA is investigating the incident to determine the cause. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is also investigating.
Damage to Aircraft
The Delta jetliner sustained damage to its wing, while the Air Canada plane sustained damage to its tail. Both aircraft were taken out of service for repairs.
